Fish & Coral: Sharks! (www.DiveSriLanka.com)

Sharks

Left & Middle: Adult and Juvenile Black Tip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus). Right: The White Trip Reef Shark (Triaenodon obesus). Both species are frequently seen compared to the rarer sightings of the more pelagic Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus) which is the largest fish in the world growing up to 12 Meters. Whale Sharks are sighted off the west coast of Sri Lanka during January to March.
