Trevally (CARANGIDAE)

Left: Big Eye Trevally (Caranx sexfasciatus). Extremely large shoals can be seen in Negombo and Kalpitiya during season.
Middle: The Giant Trevally (Caranx ignobilis) is often seen solitary, and even mingling with other species like Batfish. Often very
curious towards divers and keeps on circling them. Below: A yet to be identified large school, with striking shading patterns on its tail fin. Photographed off the coast of Negombo.
